We participated in a great project recently ‘The Unremembered’ to commemorate the brave sacrifices of the Labour Corps especially those from across the globe – in particular black and minority ethnic soldiers, and their heroic contribution to the war effort.

We are running a series of free community workshops at The Bridge in Brighton on Mondays in April, encouraging older people from the area to make Life History books to facilitate the celebration and sharing of memories.

We are pleased to have been commissioned by St Peters- Preston Park to deliver a series of six free creative workshops at the church and in their grounds between May-September 2018. Strike a Light will be running a free drop in creative activity at East Brighton Trust’s Community Grants Drop in next month. Come along and find out about sourcing funds for activities and amuse your kids at the same time!

Free kids creative drop in activities with Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage this December at The Barge boat in Brighton Marina.
We have free sessions running all day from 11am-4pm on Sunday 3rd, Sunday 10th and Sunday 17th December on different Christmas activity themes with lots of talented artists. Children and families welcome ages 4 and upwards.
Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage would like to thank the Mrs A Lacy-Tate Trust for joint funding us to deliver a series of activities at Brooke Mead, a new purpose built Dementia focussed sheltered housing scheme run by BHCC in Brighton and Hove.
