We’re showing this Marvel film through the AfrikaBa festival as part of Black History Month UK this Saturday 6th October 2018 at Electric Palace, Hastings
We’ll be showing the film Stash with musician HKB FiNN at the Electric Palace, Hastings this Saturday 6th October at 7.30pm as part of the AfrikaBa Festival.
Strike a Light is pleased to have been commissioned to become a hub in Brighton and Hove by the Big Ideas Company to develop activities with local community groups to explore the history of the Labour Corps – service personnel during World War I, and often forgotten in this part of history.
As part of the AfrikaBa Festival during Black History Month Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage will be showing this film at Electric Palace, Hastings on Friday 5th October 2018.

Strike a Light are delighted to be partnering with AfriKàBa, the Hastings based festival of African and Caribbean heritage, arts and culture. AfriKàBa is an annual festival that showcases high quality work from artists with African and Caribbean heritage and engages audiences with unique and enriching experiences.
We’ve got funding to provide free activities that positively promote African Caribbean culture, crafts and food.
These will take place on 29th September at Stade Hall, Hastings from 12 – 7pm.
Our free family creative activities start tomorrow Thursday 31st May 11-4pm!

We’re running two training courses at our studio this summer: a one day Introduction to Reminiscence day for beginners and those interested in finding out more about this area on 20th June, followed by a two day (much more in depth) Reminiscence Training Course on 18th and 19th July.
