Kids Kreative Kristmas
Free kids creative drop in activities with Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage this December at The Barge boat in Brighton Marina.
We have free sessions running all day from 11am-4pm on Sunday 3rd, Sunday 10th and Sunday 17th December on different Christmas activity themes with lots of talented artists. Children and families welcome ages 4 and upwards.
Come make some christmas decorations, try out new creative activities and visit the free Christmas Market at the same time!
Strike a Light will host three days of free drop in activities to encourage the exploration of and participation in the barge as a medium for creative Christmas activities aimed at children and young people.
We will deliver a multidisciplinary drop in programme of youth appropriate accessible Christmas crafts and arts and creative activities.
We will have lots of fun side activities including separate clay play to encourage making festive presents. We will also provide festive themed design sheets for colouring, and pirate books to read.
All the event info and publicity will is on the Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage Facebook page (and the Barge Facebook page too), on social media, our website, and on the family activities Hoop app. The sessions are all free and drop in all day.
The Barge is located on the water in Brighton Marina, at the corner below Frankie and Benny’s restaurant and the West Quay pub: https://goo.gl/maps/38BCYHMFKG42
If you’re arriving by train, there are buses (no. 7) that go to the Marina from outside the station entrance. There are also taxis there too.
The Marina has just installed a set of bike-share bikes, should you wish to travel that way too! https://www.btnbikeshare.com/
If you’re driving, there is free parking available in the multi storey carpark by the entrance to the Marina. There is a pedestrian bridge on Level 6 of the car park that brings you out almost directly by the ramp down to the Barge.
We look forward to seeing you! #kidskreativekristmas
