Trailblazers – Half Term Workshops

Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage will be running a drop in free families creative workshop at Brighton Open Market with an artist facilitator, during half term week
The session takes place in the main market area, Open Market, Marshalls Row, Brighton BN1 4JU on Thursday 21st February 1-3pm
This event is aimed at children and families from ages 6 upwards.

Trailblazers project starts!

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve received funding from the Big Ideas Co to deliver a project called Trailblazers, celebrating women’s achievements locally over the past 100 years.
We’ll be offering activities in the Brighton and Hove area between now and March 2019 to bring us up to International Women’s Day on 8th March 2019.

That’s all for 2018!

Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage is bowing out until the new year to have a well earned break.
Thank you to everyone who’s been involved with our activities and projects in 2018, whether through being a participant, a volunteer, a freelancer, a director or attending a course. It’s been great to work with you all and we’ve very much enjoyed it!
We’ll be back from 4th January 2019 with lots of new events, and look forward to seeing you then.

Room booking – Special Christmas offer!

Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage has a special Christmas offer for room bookings for our central Brighton studio.
Book between today and 21st December for dates in 2019 and you will get the 2018 rate for a session of £7 per hour.
From 22nd December 2018, our booking rate rises to £7.50 per hour, so make some savings whilst you can!

Silver Foxes group to start!

Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage is setting up in a new reminiscence group aimed at older people called Silver Foxes. The group will be based at Brooke Mead Sheltered Housing Scheme in Brighton but open to anyone over 60 years of age.
The group starts on 8th January 2019 and will meet every Tuesday each week from 11-12pm.

Wild at Heart project

We have received funding from The Homity Trust towards a new project called ‘Wild at Heart’. This project is a partnership between Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage, the Low Carbon Trust based at Brighton’s Earthship, and the Restorative Justice Department of Children’s Services, in Brighton & Hove City Council.
