Strike a Light is an arts and heritage organisation. We use people’s life stories and memories and make art to transform public and private spaces. Strike a Light aims to work with and for the arts and heritage community in the South East. We are a Community Interest Company (CIC).

As a skilled and professional organisation with a team of independent associates, we offer a varied team with the experience to meet your requirements. We deliver projects, activities and support for heritage venues, arts organisations, archives, educational settings and local authorities.

We do this through funded activities, reminiscence and oral history, hidden heritage, mosaic and crafts as well as more strategically with: Audience development planning, access, audience development, evaluations, learning plans and schools engagement.

What are we looking for?

One or two volunteers who have a creative flair, and are interested in learning about working with young people, creative and community arts and working with a Brighton arts and heritage organisation with a view to gaining new skills and working with new people.

This would ideally be a graduate or student who is studying art or design, or who has an interest in creative arts and education through other means.

The project will engage with ages 5 upwards for the duration.

The sessions will all be based at URC, Lewes Road (next to Saunders Park Rise), Brighton BN2 4EU
