embodying-hebrew-culture-56442.jpgWe’d like to say a huge thank you to the Dementia Action Alliance and Brighton & Hove Age UK (along with Dementia Friends and the Brighton & Hove NHS Clincial Commissioning Group) for funding us to deliver activities in partnership with Jewish Care to encourage the exploration of Mazel Tov Brighton – Tradition through Movement specifically related to the movement of Jewish culture and its’ arrival in Brighton!
We’ll be starting activities in September 2017 and they’ll run for twelve months in and around the city. These will include outings to Brighton Museum, Holland Road Synagogue, and Brighton’s Open Market, as well as a series of dance performances at Hyman Fine House Jewish care home, along with photographic exploration of this tradition between 2017-18. We’ll keep you updated!
We’ll also be training Brighton based Jewish Care staff in reminiscence and dementia awareness so that they are able to be self sustaining and skilled in delivering activities at the Hyman Fine House centre run by the charity Jewish Care.
Thanks also to The Homity Trust for supporting us.
Get in touch if you’d like to get involved: strikealight@rocketmail.com
We’re really looking forward to it. Mazel Tov!
