Join us for a special free bunting making workshop at Fabrica gallery, as part of two heritage projects; The Boys on the Plaque and The Orange Lilies- Brighton and Hove in the Somme, which both commemorate Brighton & Hove’s soldiers who fought in WWI. This takes place on Tuesday 23rd August 2-5pm.
As part of September’s Heritage Open Days 2016, we will be hosting a special event called ‘Keep the Home Fires Burning’ to share the findings of our intrepid volunteer researchers, who have been exploring the lives and stories of 96 local soldiers who fought and died in the war. This will be a relaxed and social event, and we’d love to decorate the church with beautiful, locally-crafted bunting!
So come along for a free afternoon to learn bunting making skills and have a bit of a natter with some creative crafting! Hosted by Nicola Benge from Strike A Light, materials will be provided but you are also welcome to bring something along to contribute.
Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits provided!
